Signs and symptoms of anemia are pale color, tiredness, weakness, etc. It's hard to tell if you are anemic or not, unless it is severe. You can get a simple blood test to tell if you are anemic or not. Weird ridges on you fingernails is usually a sign of a fungal infection of the nails, certain anemias or an illness. If you take vitamins daily, you probably don't have a Vitamin B12 or folate deficiency unless you have a parasite, malabsorptive disorder or auto-immune condition. Perhaps you have iron deficiency because most vitamins don't provide enough iron... most people get enough if they eat dark leafy vegetable or red meat. Remember that too iron is toxic, so don't overdose on iron supplements. Do you have excessive bleeding or periods... this can cause anemia, including stomach ulcers and GI bleeds.

Here are some Signs and Symptoms:

Anemia goes undetected in many people, and symptoms can be vague. Most commonly, people with anemia report a feeling of weakness or fatigue. People with more severe anemia sometimes report shortness of breath. Very severe anemia prompts the body to compensate by markedly increasing cardiac output, leading to palpitations and sweatiness; this process can lead to heart failure in elderly people.

Pallor (pale skin and mucosal linings) is only notable in cases of severe anemia, and is therefore not a reliable sign.

Hiya!!!! Weakness and fatigue are the most common symptoms of even mild anemia. Even iron deficiency without anemia can reduce working capacity in some people. Shortness of breath on exertion Rapid heartbeat Lightheadedness or dizziness Headache Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) Irritability and other mood disturbances Pale skin (however, healthy-looking skin color does not rule out anemia if a patient has risk factors and other symptoms of anemia) Iron deficiency, even at a level too mild to cause anemia, has been linked to restless legs syndrome (RLS) in some people. Some studies have reported RLS in 25 - 30% of people with low iron levels. Studies suggest, in fact, that RLS in some people may be due to impaired iron acquisition in cells that regulate dopamine in the brain. Dopamine abnormalities are known to play a role in RLS. Mental confusion Loss of sexual drive Hope you feel better soon!

sypmtoms include dizziness, tired, and lack of energy, or getting tired quickly, also a low iron count in the blood (blood test determines this) also your skin may turn pale or even yellowish. Also since anemia is low circulation, your fingers , toes and ears may feel cold. The only real way to see if you have anemia is to get a blood test done. It sounds like you may want to see a doctor anyway with those conditions.

Sound like you have a number of symptoms of anemia. A doctor would have to do a blood test to be sure.

i would say that those are signs of low iron. maybe you should take some extra iron...or get your blood tested by your doctor, they could then see if that is your problem
best wishes
