He had some novel ideas about religion at his time, was raised to the level of a prophet by the government of Greece I think. But honestly, if the same story was told today he would not amass a following.

That "Jesus" is a composite of a number of images of wise men passed along over a period of hundreds of years that eventually was consolidated into an image of a single individual. That "Jesus" is in the tradition of the bigger-than-life teachers and prophets that lived and taught in the Ancient World, and whose names for the most part have been forgotten. There are a number whose names and life stories are recorded, but outside of a small number of academics, are largely unknown in the Western world.
"Jesus" did not say or do anything that had not been said time and again before the commonly-accepted date of his birth. Many of the sayings and teachings attributed to him can be traced to others who lived and taught many years - in some cases, hundreds of years - before. Not a one of his "miracles" but cannot be found mentioned as having happened at the behest of others before him. Not even his death and resurrection story are unique, but are borrowed from earlier traditions.
All of the foregoing does not mean that the Jesus tradition has nothing to offer to humankind today. But elevating the idea of Jesus to god status and worshipping him is not just silly - it is idolatry.

I (and you) do not have enough information to make a judgement on the validity of Jesus Christ. I realize that my 29 years on this earth is an extemely limited look at a limited portion of reality, therefor, it would be extremely foolish of me to take a stance stating that Jeses was "only a man" and not a devine being.

I think, nothing about him. Seriously, I've never met him in real, so I never know if everything they say is true. I'd believe it if I saw it with my own eyes. Otherwise, I don't know why I should think anything about Jesus. Oh, and I am raised catholic. I respect people who are very religious, but like I said, nothing proves everything that's been said. So...

people have different views of Jesus. To me, He is alive and real. I am a Christian...although most people say it but aren't seroius. anyway. Jesus, paid a criminals punishment for us, becuase He loves up enough that He doesn't want us to spend the rest of eternity in hell. We have the opportunity to go to Heaven if we accept that he is real, died for our sins, and created the heavens and the earth. You have to have some serious faith to believe this. But, in the end. It's oging to be worth it.

If he really even existed.
Some of the stuff in the Sermon on the Mount is pretty good though, whoever it came from.

He's a good role model. I'm sorry that he suffered so much when he died. As for whether he was the Son of God, I don't believe it. He was a good man, as far as I am concerned, and that is all.

I think he seemed like a cool guy... very liberal in thinking. I think it is amazing how liberal Jesus was and how so many of his followers are very conservative.
