They don't hate "immigrants." They don't hate "illegal immigrants." But most Americans do feel that immigrants should come legally to this country. It is part of the American culture to obey the law, and it was founded as a nation based upon the rule of law.
As far as English is concerned, Americans (of all colors) are proud to share a common language. With so many children of immigrants, we need a way to communicate to each other. English is the best way to do so.
"Native Americans" were here before the whites, it's true. Whites were here before others. What's the point in that? If you are arguing for immigrants' rights, you should also favor the immigrant whites who came over. The point is that we want a welcoming society. Dividing people up by using words like "hate" or "white people" is pointless.
It's also worth noting that much of the land was sold by Native Americans to European settlers.

Don't hate immigrants, I don't like illegal immigrants if they would have come legally they would no English, but they sneak across the border when their not invited, And the bible says obey the law of the land which they are not doing. And thou shalt not hate is not a commandment, you will not see that listed. And native Americans also migrated across the barring straight the land bridge. And the illegal immigrants are not at the back of the line, the back of the line starts in their own country. Their living here and working, while the other immigrants in other countries still have to stay in their country until they are allowed in. that's not right. It makes me sick their getting a free pass, for crossing into a country without asking, we are a sovereign Nation, we say who stays and who goes. You don't like the laws then get out. Maybe you would like Mexicos laws better, Immigrants are felons in that country. which is the same law we should have.

the bible says to obey the laws of the land...in america..its illegal to sneak into the country, and therefore that makes illegals criminals...
most of them arent waiting for citizenship..they are using the system to get more money than they would in mexico and increase their wealth..at taxpayer expense..
by the way..indians came over on the land bridge, so there is no one that can say this was your country when whitey got here...
after both world wars, we had an open immigration policy and few questions were asked ...now we are in a security situation and a lot of questions have to be asked ....
if mexicans really wanted a better life by working hard(as they all say they are), then they would stay in mexico and work hard to make their own country successful, not come here and sign up for every free thing they can get...

The US society is formed by immoral individuals who over the course of history have pillaged, looted and decimated innocent peoples of America and Asia. The US society has tried to impose their "ideology" by means of sheer force and arms. When confronted with their reality, they quickly wield the "freedom" and "democracy" weapons, although they have a bloody past of slavery and antidemocratic actions (vietnam and korea, for example). I don't recall ANY relevant group of Iraqis requesting to be bombed or invaded by the US army. Neither do I recall having seen any proof of WMD's in Iraq. The immoral, oil-thirsty Americans will go to large extents in order to get what they want. It's odd how they complain about aliens invading their home, while at the same time they have an illegal (unrequested ergo antidemocratic) presence in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places. Whoever opposes their ideals is dubbed a terrorist, a "freedom-hater". They have the XVI century mentality of "You're either with me or against me". We're being hel hostages to the might of a powerful brute. I hope Europe will soon put the leash back on the American beast.
Don't let them fool you when they tell you that they saved Europe from Hitler: As far as I remember, it was the Russians who (after having lost 20 million citizens to the Nazis) put down the Nazi regime. The US was of help, but not without greed, I must say. (Hiroshima was just a -bloody- pretext to show the Russians how mighty they were)

Why should any one care about people who are essentially xenophobic, the puppets of big business and hide behind the cloak of seeking a better life ?
Invest your money in your homelands and develop them rather than assimilate into this society illegally and undermine the effort of the legal system in this country by way of subterfuge..
The illegality I share as a citizen born here is from slavery of which the effects of such are evidenced in the continuing denial of that which is written into the Constitution. Enfranchisement, of which corporate America has dis-allowed, yet allows when convenient for their need of labor intensive jerks.
In so many ways I find the question of illegal immigrants is silly in that if it is not of code regulation or sanctioned by law people need to split and carry-on their lives elsewhere. With forty acres I can grow my own.
Peace.
Inasmuch as for people living by the Bible I don't understand what you mean it does not ask for you to be stupid.

We don't hate them, and because we don't doesn't mean we should allow them to colonize and reclaim our country. Your thinking in too simple terms here of black and white.
If you don't see the difference, keep re-reading this.
Oh and note to the first guy: Yea, the bible doesn't mention immigrants. Then they were called sojourners.
And I'm amazed how I see the same things all the time. If you want proof of the truth let me know, but AMERICA WAS *NOT* BUILT BY IMMIGRANTS. Sheesh.
I should just start cutting and pasting answers.
One last thought: SealrBorders hasn't had a wrong answer yet!!

bri, you gotta have a thick skin if you want to play in the Immigration playground. There are only two sides here. Pick one and stick to your guns.
I am Native also, and I do not believe in the teachings of the bible, but I do understand the difference between right and wrong.
Becoming a criminal with your first step into my country is wrong. All actions after that, short of returning to where you came from is wrong.
Illegal Immigration is simply wrong. Remember your bible teachings?

You don't even know English very well. The American Indian doesn't have anything to do with this issue since no one is alive today that participated in the colonization of North America.

First of all, millions of people come here knowing perfect English and ovestay their visas. These same people also pay taxes.
So why the hate? We are NOT taking anything form US citizens! On the contrary:we give a lot to the economy and our taxes go to your welfare system. I am European and I really hate to be identified as a Mexican, a beanie, etc.
I AM DIFFERENT and so are all who pay taxes and work for the prosperity of this country.
The only reason for hate is fear of losing what you have.
But I assure you, none of us, European immigrants on expired visas present any threat whatsoever to this country. We are all educated well, all speak perfect English and are completely integrated in every meaning of the word.
You hate me without even knowing me...

I don't hate immigrants. If they're legal, then welcome.
But if they're illegal, they've broken our laws and don't belong in the U.S. and don't deserve special treatment no matter how long they've lived here. (As a citizen, I'd be fined or jailed if I broke the law.)
I'll dismiss your racist remark about whites. And anyone BORN in the USA is a native American no matter what color, race, etc.
It's amazing how people still can't understand the difference between legal and illegal. It's mind boggling.
