The Bible has been pretty much torn apart by diffrent religons, by that I mean they take what they want from it and what sounds good to them, ignore the rest and what they took they twist to fit their own purpose. Like love thy neighbor as long as he is not colored, any other color but white, homosexual, or diffrent in anyway. And if they believe in a diffrent religon then they are devil worshippers for sure. Why they are this way is because their religous leaders tell them and they believe it.

I can't speak for all Christians, as no matter what group you point at there will always be people who exist in the group in name only but It's my belief that most Christians are not hypocritical as you state.

Having love for all people does not mean agreeing with everything they do. Specially, if the thing that they do is something considered sinfull to their religion.

I can be loving to all people, feeding the hungry, carring for the sick and so on but that does not mean I have to agree with their life style choices or accept their beliefs that my be contrary to my own.

I would think it would be even more hypocritical to say I'm a Christian but then also state that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. You just can't have it both ways.

If you say you follow Christianity and you believe that the religion see homosexuality as an abomination how can you be accepting of this pratice. At the same time, the religion commands that you love all people but that would mean that you would show people the same type of consideration that you would show a friend but loving them does not require you to accept everything that person says or does.

It's kind of like this. Replace homosexuality with something that is also considered a sin but is also not in question by anyone. Like murder. I'm not saying that homosexuality is like murder but for sake of example I'm saying replace homosexuality with murder in the concept we are discussing.

I can show love to someone who is a murderer. I can feed them, heal their wounds, I can cloth them even befriend them and give them someone to talk to but I don't ever have to believe that murder is a justifiable act to commit or agree that anything they did was ok.

As far as contridicting religions, there is no reason to dislike those of other religions but often in these types of situations there are cultural differences that are tied to the religions that make friendship difficult. Just like the old saying birds of a feather flock together...

First off, lets take a look at what a hypocrite is. The word means "pretender." Basically, the Christian is not a Christian, he/she is pretending to be. He/she is not on our side, he/she is on yours.
Secondly, do you know FOR A FACT that every Christian living or has lived don't like homosexuals? I am a Christian, but I don't dislike homosexuals or people who aren't "belivers." After all, we are all still human no? It is probaly that these "Christians" take this homosexual thing too far (since it's against Christianity), didn't follow Jesus's teachings, or got angry and had a few words exchanged.

A lot of it is ignorance. I had a bad attitude towards homosexuals before I started living and working with openly gay people. Once I did, my attitude changed overnight. I think other Christians would experience the same thing. It's easier not to have love for people you read about in the newspaper and see on TV but don't encounter in every day life.

The problem is that they are human, and it is hard to live the actual Christian lifestyle within which it is a sin to be homosexual, but it does not mean you hate soemone for it. You are raised to be a certain way, and I am sure you don't always live up to that potential. "We all fall short of the glory of God". The problem is that the people who are the biggest hypocrites are the ones that make the most noise, while others who do a better job are quiet and set a good example but get shoved out of the way.

Whoa. Hold on right there. I am a christian, and I'll tell you right now, Im sure you act the same way you just explained. Hipocritical. I mean, your talking about us right now, so your being hypocritical. I mean, you dont have to LOVE everybody. Being a christian means you except people for who they are. Not hate them. I certainly dont appreciate what you just said. You know, maybe you shold visit a church, becuse if your askin a question about christians, u obviously dont know much about them. Im not trying to be mean or anything like that. It just really hurts my feelings when people say things like that about my religion.

Because most of us Christians are hypocritical. Pure FACT.

We dislike nonconformist because we feel we are the only ones who know how to live the Right way. We feel that Christianity has the monopoly on morals and values.

We are under the illusion that being Christian means that we will have better lives, better marriages etc...

Because we all know being Christians means we are experts in right and wrong.

I don't understand why people like you think that "love" is the same thing as "like"... that is actually a sign of immaturity.
You can choose to love someone you don't like. That is what true christians do. We don't like the sin of homosexuality, but we love the person enough to tell them the truth. Obviously your mooshy idea of love is more like: "oh just let them do whatever they want".
If your kid liked to play on the freeway, would you love him enough to tell (and even force him) off the freeway? or would you just let him do what he likes?
Adult homosexuals may not be kids, but they're not mature either if they don't see anything wrong with their behavior.

That's normal for most stick-up-their-beep Christians they're so fanatical they're are bad as the Rest. Other religions displaying the same wacko tendencies.
(Waco has spread around Or reappeared I hear).

These people Never practice what they Preach.
That wouldn't make it fun anymore!

Although I do agree in part with the comment below!

I dont know about others but I personallly think that every religion preaches to "hate the sin not the sinner"

therefore thoughts can be hypocritical but religion cannot.
