depends where you live, in the uk 70mph

depending on what vehicle you are driving, a single carriage way in a built up area is 30mph unless stated, then a dual carriageway can be anything from 40mph to 60mph and a motorway is 70mph unless otherwise stated (road condition bla bla bla) but as i said this all changes if you are driving a van or a lorry.

seriously , if you are a driver you should know the answer - too many people do not and think they are careful and competent drivers - and people get killed and injured because of them!
