What kind of lifestyle do you have? If you are not home alot, then maybe a cat, because they can use a litter pan. A puppy needs to be taken outside every two hours or so untill they are fully housebroken and their bladders are mature. Most of your small dogs can take up to a year for housebreaking.
You need to make sure you can provide care, money and a home for the lifetime of your pet with any dog or cat you get. There are many dogs and cats in our shelters and rescues that you should look to adopt from. Every day thousands (no exaggeration) dogs and cats get put down for NO reason. Even 8wk old puppies are put down due to the over population.
Spay and neuter your pet!!!!
PLEASE do your homework!! Research on what animal you want then the breed.

I have a beagle and she barks a lot and is very hyper. I wouldn't trade her for anything, but she has been very high maintenance. Dogs need lots of attention and they need someone to babysit them when you leave town for more than a day. Also, many dogs suffer from separation anxiety. My dog tore up a whole linoluem floor one day while I was at work!! I got another dog to keep her company, which has cured that problem and they are so happy together!
Cats are more independent. If you leave the house for a couple of days, it's easier to leave a kitty box (clean of course) and big bowls of food and water and they will be fine. They need less attention than dogs, but they still need love too!

Well first of all the word you're looking for is "which" not "witch", Next, the other word is "either" not "eather". Now it depends whether you want something just there and that wants affection only when they want it or if you want affection all the time. A dog is more like a friend or child. They love affection and want to play all the time.

Depends on what your wants or needs are. A cat is more independent and as long as you leave it food and water and a clean box, it can take care of itself pretty much if your absent for a short while.
If you have a cat like mine than you are really lucky because he takes care of his waste problem outside somewhere. I wouldn't trade him for the world.
On the other hand, I have a Golden Retriever that I wouldn't want to be without either. She is funny and more a part of the family doings than Murray (the Cat). But she is also a lot more work and spoiled rotten.

If you want the responsibility of owning a dog...meaning rushing home to let it out...having to get someone to watch it when you travel or not being able to travel...then the loving and affectionnate specie is a great pet and you would never regret getting one...with a cat you can put food and water and a litter box down and travel your eyes out...not have to worry about getting home things like that however cats do require lots of affection and love and exceding the number of 5 cats in a household can lead to the animals feeliung depressed and unloved...but either way is great...now how bout a bird? they can being very loving and affectionate too!

If you are going to be home alot a dog, but if you are not going to be home then a cat. they require less attention and less work. If you live in the city I would say a cat but if you have a big yard that the puppy can play in then a dog.

DOG DOG DOG. Cats are cute but they don't have the personality that a dog has, plus cats are boring and lazy. Get a dog for sure you won't regret it.
