First off, you must distinguish between fact and theory. "Evolution"--the gradual change of natural organisms over time in response to their environment--is a fact. We can see it in, for example, the changing forms in the fossil record. "Natural selection" is the scientific theory proposed to explain evolution. As a scientific theory it has withstood the scrutiny and criticism of the scientific community for well over a hundred years, and has much supporting evidence. It is as close to accepted fact as scientific theories ever get. If you don't accept natural selection as a theory, then you must equally doubt other theories that have less evidence, such as the germ theory of disease or the theory of universal gravitation proposed by Newton.

There is no solid evidence to support the proposition that a 'supreme being' created all life on earth.

However, consider that the two ideas--natural selection and belief in God--are not necessarily mutually exclusive. There are many 'Christian scientists' who believe that natural selection is God's wonderful mechanism for developing life on earth.

Side note: On the evolution of the eye, frequently cited as evidence that natural selection doesn't work, read "Climbing Mount Improbable" by Richard Dawkins. It explains exactly how the eye could have evolved by thousands of intermediary steps.

Another important point: It is often stated that natural selection proposes that men came from monkeys. Not true. Natural selection posits that humans and monkeys have a common ancestor. A subtle but critical distinction.

Your question is incorrectly worded. Evolution states that beings change , (over really long periods of time), from one species into another dependant upon environmental factors, evolution doesn't create anything. Creationism states that there is a supreme being that creates, but logically, and realistically, can anything ever come from nothing, (the definition of creation), and, if there is only this supreme being, where did it come from, (if it was already there, was it created or did it evolve?),if everything else came from it, then it was not created, but merely altered by this supreme being. Religion is dependant upon faith, believing what you know to be impossible, evolution is demonstratable, go to a zoo,you decide!

I believe in creation because evolution makes no sense to me.

Certain parts of the body have parts in them that had no reason to "evolve" unless another part was already present, but that other part had no reason to "evolve" unless the first part was already there. Like the eye. The retina had no reason to be unless there was already a lens, the lens had no reason to be unless there was a retina.

Plus, evolutionists keep talking about trying to find the missing link like there is only one, but in actuality, there are thousands and thousands of missing links.

In short, it takes more faith to believe in the pseudo-science of evolution than it does to believe in a Creator.

Erm, religion has science too. I believe a Divine Being created the universe.

Since it makes no sense that we are the children of monkies and amoeba I think Creation makes more sense.

Evolution makes for a good laugh though.

Science as science looks at the evidence and then uses logic and common sense to come to a conclusion. Religion just gos believe this or you will burn in hell!!! And I don't want/need that so it's the science for me.

God is the creator. And, what has evolved from his creation he has allowed. Science in its purest form supports a creator. ;-)
