When I was younger the way I used to prefer my French Toast was to butter the toast, then place a ring of brown sugar around the edge of the toast, to hold the syrup on, and finally enough syrup that my dentist would call and ask if he could see me that day or if he had to wait until Monday.

butter and banana walnut syrup.
The syrup is the trick though, it is my own recipe.
You will need the following:
- about 1 cup of maple syrup
- about 1/2 of a jar of wet walnut ice cream topping
- two bananas.
In a Pyrex measuring cup, mash one of the bananas. Add the wet walnuts and mix well. Add the syrup and mix well again. Microwave for 2 minutes. Slice the other banana. Add the slices to the syrup mixture. Just before serving microwave for another 2 minutes.
