In the Bible, God impregnates a 13 year old and then doesn't even offer to marry her. Then he says 'Hey, I'm God and I make the rules: You're still a virgin.' He never pays one penny of child support, and lets another guy parent his kid.
It is not recorded that he pays any attention to his son at all until the poor guy is over 30. Then god sends the boy to preach an unclear message with no proof behind it (which his dad could easily have provided) that directly results in him being crucified (and his dad doesn't help him out there either). Then, after the poor boy has died horribly, god absolves himself of responsibility and raises his poor son from the dead, "Hey Kid, sorry I wasn't there for you, but I'm god and now it’s all fixed."
Is this the behavior of a responsible parent? Is there a cosmic social service we can call, or is this god guy above the law?

You know, that was a great and valid question, but then you preempted any really honest thoughts by getting incendiary in the more details

If we are judging God as in Old Testament, he is certainly a strict yet inconsistent parental role model in the early days. As you get to the end, however, he does something a lot of parents have trouble doing. He basically steps out of the picture and lets the kids grow up,live their own lives, make their own mistakes, and deal with the consequences.

God is a great Father:

1. Remember those Wise men? They came with gifts which equalled LOTS of money! Mary and her husband benefited from these gifts when they had to hide from Herod in Egypt. God sent those wise men!

2. Mary is one of the most blessed and famous women in history.

3. There were quite a few angels present at Jesus' birth.

4. No proof behind his message? What about all those miracles he performed! The people who were meant to understand his message did.

5. Jesus was given a choice of whether to allow himself to be sacrificed or to stay in Heaven. He choose to save us. He could have called angels down to defend him at any time.

6. Poor boy? He's God in a physical form! Get for real!

Be careful about slandering the Almighty! You may not believe in Him but He does indeed exist. He might just come to speak to you directly about these accusations one day!

You don't get it because you don't want to. You are not seeing the big picture here. God isn't responsible for only one child here. He has all of humanity in mind.
He isn't like the dead beat father that is too lazy or concerned to get a job and do his part. You are seriously ignorant to think the 2 compare. I bet you haven't found a lot of meaningful things to make you happy have you? and if you rely on sarcasm you've proven that point.

you have a profound disrespect for the bible God and His son. The whole point for Jesus to come to this earth is to forgive our sins, to die for us. because Adam sinned and brought sin into this earth and Adam was a perfect man it took a perfect man to buy back our souls and forgive our sins. as far as proof, he had proof with all the good that he did, resurrecting people from the dead, feeding all those Israelite's with a loaf of bread, etc... lots of miracles. And God never left his side he was always with him and he payed attention to him especially every time he prayed! you might try talking with someone about the bible and let them know you have problems!

God is an awesome Father and role model. He never leaves us or forsakes us. He is always faithful. Everything that we have is supplied by Him. His love is like no other and died so the we might live. He rose from the dead and lives on high so that we may one day live with Him ih heaven

Wow, did you think this up or is someone telling you to write this stuff? You may say that all this is true, and the Devil would too. The Devil also would have you believe lies that sound like the truth but are not the truth, just like you did. Are there things that you have written true? Or, do they look like the truth and do not tell the whole of the truth?

Hahahahahahah! You're a GENIE-AR*SE! Well said!

Excellent way of thinking. You know, you can read anything you like from the Bible like with any literature. One of my mates set about proving that God encourages Bestiality in the Bible one time. SOOO amusing.

All that you alluded to happened that you might come to know God.

He approaches Mary and asks her for her compliance in bearing Jesus. She agrees. He doesn't abandon her or Joseph but takes care of them through the gifts of the wise men.

As for drawing conclusions on what is not recorded, this is neither logical neither does it allow you to draw any clear or correct conclusions.

The message that Jesus gave was clear. He claimed to be the Christ... the promised One. He came to save that which was lost. (us) He came as a sacrifice for the sin of the world including yours and mine. His disciples understood, eventually, what He was doing. The Pharisees understood that He was claiming to be God. That's why they wanted to crucify Him. Pontius Pilate knew He was claiming to be God. That's one of the reasons he was afraid of Him.

No, His message was quite clear.

All that happened was a fulfillment of both the law of Moses and the prophets.

It all happened so that you might come to know Him.
Instead you just mock Him. What do you think your just reward will be for that?
