I think it just phased out due to lack of interest. There are so many other products out there that are similiar. We don't need Tupperware parties anymore-we can just go to Target and buy Rubbermaid.

A throwaway society that won't recycle will buy the cheap stuff offered. The tupperware from your mom and grandma is still around due to different mentality about products and then the environmental movement. All that plastic comes from petroleum products, so conserving or recycling is the wisest move. People had tupperware parties but you could still order if you didn't go to the party. Plus, you could get replacement lids, etc. if something disappeared from your set.

I love Tupperware, but the "party" thing used to really put me off, also, the price was way too much even though the product seems to last forever. You can get cheaper plasticware at Wal-mart which I think draws people away from the quality of things nowadays.

Huge competition has allow for cheaper products. Its similar to a cabinet maker..creating a beautiful solid wood china cabinet...that would easily sell for $1000. for the cabinet maker to earn a living...or go to your local walmart and purchase a press board china cabinet that looks the same for $200.

Tupperware is a great product, but it is simply too expensive.
They have kiosks at the mall sometimes.

Alot of times they sell in the middle of the mall now. I wish it was around more because it really is a good product...expecially their lifetime warranty.

Yeah, perhaps the American people are tired of yet another company moving over seas and selling their crappy products here

I think it has to do with Glad and Ziploc selling their own plastic containers in the supermarkets. That and all the infomercials on TV.

I think it's def a combo of all that. There are too many really cheap storage containers that are just as good now.
