I've heard belly dancing, one of those exercise balls, etc, etc, etc. I have a really bad back so i can't do sit ups, any info on this?

Pilates is amazing for toning abs (and it tones plenty of other muscles too). Since you have a bad back, I'd suggest going to an instructor and telling your situation first. There are modifications you can make in every pilates move that will still give results on your abs but not injure your back. Combine that with some cardio every week (cardio will help to rid your belly of any fat that is hiding the abdominal muscles).

I do pilates twice a week, yoga at least once, and run regularly. The effort has given me a toned body and good abs (you can see some lines - not bodybuilder like - but sexy)

It is sooo easy ,BUT soooo HARD...
if you do five thousand crunches a hour you can still have a un-toned stomach or abs the way to achieve a toned stomach is cut all the fat out of your diet and that is how to do it.

I could choose toned abs... Definitely a healthful mirrored image of wellness & health :) ...For thin abs, it is dependent I wager.. I may not wish such thin abs however then, I am anguish from bulimia... *Peace*
