Ha, ha. This is a riot!! For your brother, I mean. If you are required to take summer classes to make up or complete work not done or failed, and you do not go, then you would have to repeat those classes and possibly the entire grade. It seems sensible to me that you would have asked that answer of someone in charge at the school before making a decision not to attend. Where the heck are your parents in all of this? Do they even care?
I would hope they did.

Depends what state you are in. Some don't have the classes offered in 8th and will require you to repeat the 7th grade. Also depends if they were your main classes English, Math, etc. or electives. Go to summer school- don't start your next year behind.

You might be left back. Go to summer school and get it over with.
School is no joke and there is nothing worse than a failing grade.
Where are your parents? They should have the requirements. School is out or should be out soon.

You should be held back in the 7th grade, but it depends on the rules in your particular district. It also depends on how badly the teachers want to get rid of you.

You may be held back until their completion.
Here is my question to you... why are you failing? Do something about it. Anything if you feel the risks are worth it.

Go talk to the school counselor. This is not the time to start slaking off in school. It gets harder to catch up. Good luck.
