Historically Jesus Lived and and did as the Bible says. The Bible were not the only writtings about Jesus. Historians can agree Jesus was real and lived and breathed and walked the earth.

Ah, I've seen this question many times. I've answered it before, too.
Yeah, there's real proof of Jesus and the Bible. But remember, the Bible is a very VERY big book. Which part are you asking about in particular? The history of the Jews? The crucifixion of Christ? The start of the Church? Yeah, there's historical proofs for those.
Who wrote the bible? It most definitely was not written by politicians. The old testament was written by scribes who were charged with writing the truth. The new testament? The apostles, or direct disciple of the apostles, wrote all four. Yeah, sworn in blood.
I have this whole thing written about it. hmm, I think it's the very first question I answered in yahoo answers. Check it out if you'd like.

Jesus actually lived. He is mentioned by the Jewish historian Josephus, who lived about the same time as Jesus, and several other non-Christian historians .
I don't know what you mean by "Is there any real proof of...the Bible". Are you questioning whether everything in it actually happened? No, some of the stories in the Bible are tales to get a point across, although it's hard to prove one way or the other.

There is documentation of Jesus, but like all ancient information it has been overstated and exaggerated. Anthropologists has searched the world over and have discovered that the bible is inaccurate and has been discredited, thats why the bible is now being called the "New Testament." And Jesus was for the rich to share the wealth, that was his main objective. During his time there was only 2 classes - have and have-nots.

The bible is actually comprised of many writings by a variety of people (apostles, followers, scholars, historians, etc.) and groups that wanted to share their message and beliefs. As many of these stories and parables were passed on from generation to generation before and after they were put down on paper (papyrus back then), it is only logical to assume that these writings are not 100% historically accurate. The bible stories were meant to convey general principles and beliefs in an entertaining way that could be easily passed on to others.
In regards to Jesus, historians and archaeologists have clearly proved that there was a carpenter from Nazareth that lived approximately 2000 years ago that was a well known prophet during his life. His death on the cross is widely accepted to be true, but his resurrection will always be a matter of faith. Perhaps that is the point.

What reasons make you search for such a question. Whether or not a person in a story exists, it is what you can learn from the story that truly matters. Don't cheapen the ideals held by Jesus in your quest to see if such a person existed.
Politically, what purpose would Jesus serve. A martyr for a religion, perhaps? Or a tool to take out Roman rule? It's always an interesting debate to ask, "How did Jesus influence the world with his presence."
Another good question would be, how long before his birth, was Jesus prophosized to come. Perhaps he was created by the Peoples' need for him.

this is a great question and shows that you are searching for answers.
My sons have asked the same thing and the only answer I can give them is this one:
If the bible were not true and if everything in it were just "stories", how is it that much of what we were told thousands of years ago and was predicted to happen, has happened and is in the process of happening and will continue to happen?
How did the people who wrote the bible know that?
How did someone way back then concieve nuclear war and bombs?
Look at revelations, read about the conventional wars of man and everything that has been prophecied to happen.
We were told the whole world would watch Israel and Jerusalem how long ago?
Why is it that the whole world watched this country and most conflicts are centered around it?
Why is a small, little piece of sandy, dusty land
the center of the worlds attention?
think about it......

No real Proof Dearie. The political reign part is something i would agree on because it was during the reign of King Constantine that Christianity separated from Judaism and became a major world religion. It is possible that all texts that are proof to the establishment of this religion were written during this era from the political views of King Constantine and those who formed the 1st Church!

The bible was written after Jesus' time. If you ever noticed it is alot of books compiled into one. These books were written by all different people at completely different times. Along time ago though the church decided to combine them and they only chose the ones that they wanted their people to read. So it is in essence the churches OLD political opinion.

The bible encompasses many things from real truth to extreme lies but it is anything but political. Theres nothing in there about impeaching kings or who to vote for or even what type of government to have, no politics was not the intent of the first imaginative few who wrote it.
