I too had problems (I thought) with losing a lot of hair. My hairdresser told me that it is normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day. My hair is fairly long (about 1/2 down my back) and she told me it might seem like I am losing a large amount of hair because of it being long.

I don't think changing back to your natural color will help. I had the same problem, years of high lights, perms, etc and mine got pretty thin on top. I now use a hair treatment by arbonne and it has helped me tremendously. You have to use it like it says or it won't work though. It is a scalp/hair revitalizer.
