Because we keep forgetting that we are not to judge others.

We feel that we have higher moral authority because we are Christians and therefore anyone who is not lack morals.

Sorry we may read the bible but it seems are head is to thick headed to understand the teachings - especially the one were we are told to not judge others.

The truth is that all religions are judgemental in some ways. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are have feelings of superiority to others. For the Christians, the most oft-referred discriminators are the Catholics. This, in my opinion is because they are the "dominant" religion. They feel that since they are the most powerful, that they have the "God-given right"(pun definitely intended) to feel better than others. I definitely understand how you feel though. I was born into the Catholic faith, and 16 years later, i'm now a "devout" Atheist. Being a part of the religion gives a very good insight to why they're so ignorant. Before every mass i can remember, the priest would always say, "Welcome to those non-Catholics, as we hope to have you join our brothers and sisters soon. For it is only through Him that you can achieve salvation." Basically, its saying "thanks for coming, be a Catholic or burn in Hell."

Nice, isn't it?

Most Christians are afraid of diversity.

There was a study done where someone glued a tiny black feather onto a turkeys head and let it loose into a pen of all while turkeys. Very quickly the other turkeys began to realize that this turkey was different. They all gathered around it and pecked at that one spot where the black feather was until the poor thing died.

Christians have done the same thing. Witch trials ring a bell?

As a Christian who is beginning to see the light, I must say that it is because we have been deceived for so long. We are misguided, misled, and misrepresented. The times are coming when all that will change, but it is going to take a revolution in order to make that happen. Until then just try to treat other the way you want to be treated.

Well, Christians shouldn't be. I don't think I am. Thank you for reminding us not to be. As Christians, we should leave judgments to God. We're sinners, too, anyways.

But what hurts is people assuming all Christians are like that.

It also hurts that people can openly bash Christians so easily without remorse and I don't hear much about them being "Judgemental".

Why? Because we as Christians are called to forgive. Yeah, I forgive those who bash Christians. It's hard, but no one said being Christian is easy. Jesus himself said it'll be hard.

Not all Christians are that way so please, don't lump us all into one category. I feel that everyone has many choices in life and what makes people "different" is what makes them the person they are. The right choice for me was being a Christian but I have friends who aren't Christian at all and I don't judge them, I love them just the way they are. Some people (and not just some Christians) judge EVERYONE for all kinds of reasons.

We are not judging. I am not, anyway. And we are supposed to put God first over everything in our lives. When I try to convert someone it is because I have their best interests at heart. It saddens me to think that anyone is going to hell. Unfortunately, a lot of people are going because of their refusal to accept Christ.
