my friend breeds them and each puppy cost $1200, but i'm not sure if that's a common price. i think it is; it's not a common breed.

The better question to ask is how easy are they to train and live with?

Ridgebacks are powerful hunting dogs that can easily kill a smaller animal. One of my clients had a female Ridgeback that ripped her other dog's throat open - fortunately, he survived. The Ridgeback went to a home where it was the only dog.

Some Ridgebacks are very sweet, but this is a breed that can be a nightmare for the inexperienced. They can be aggressive and very hard-headed. If you like this style of dog, I'd suggest getting a Vizsla instead.

Depends,my friend, on where you are buying. If U.K., very expensive, If U.S., even more expensive ! Ridgebacks are some of the most expensive pedigrees to buy and to stud, litter ! Good luck !

too much if you ask me! But they are big dogs. It depends on their breeding. Go to a reputable breeder and you will set yourself back around £700 to £1,000. What you say?! well you want a pedigree dog......go with a rescue!
