http://www.sundayschoolcrafts.com has some good ideas as does http://www.kidssundayschool.com/Gradeschool/Crafts/craftindex.php.

Go to Yahoo or Google and search under Children's Bible Crafts or Sunday School Crafts. There are lots of fun and cheap things to keep kids interested and learn a lesson, too!

Plan a theme that surrounds a concept or Bible verse. Ask members of your church to donate items for your projects. We have a "helping hands" and "giving tree" display. Items needed by Sunday School teachers, nursery workers, etc. are posted on cut out paper leaves, someone takes the leaf, buys the item and brings it back to church. Paper hands are similarly used and if you need an extra pair of hands to make a craft project then it is written on a hand with the name and contact number of the person who needs help. It keeps the congregation aware of the projects and needs of the entire church and it's programming and ministries.

JoAnn Fabrics stores or Michael's have some awesome kids crafts. Any store like that should have them, too. They have things like plastic suncatchers for a dollar, and you get the paint to paint them. They have these foam things that you can make into all sorts of things, like doorknob hanters and scrap books. They have those tongue-depressor sticks and fuzzy balls that everyone seems to love using in crafts, plus glue, glitter, sequins, all that stuff. They should have construction paper, too, although make sure it's that and not scrapbooking paper--that stuff's so much more expensive, it's ridiculous!

I went to jesus camp recently and we did this lesson on labarynths. You should go online and search some and draw it on a sidewalk and have the kids go through it. I thought it was really fun, but this may cater more to middle/high school students.
Make sure what you find is a LABARYNTH and NOT a maze.

Go to a teacher supply store .... and avoid the Christian craft stores, they are super-expensive.

Remember, playdough can be made from flour/water/salt/food coloring, paint can be made with the same ingredients, and anything that is messy is fun.

Since you didn't state your theme for this year, I can't give you any absolute ideas.

Yes, never too early to brain wash the little buggers now is it? Let’s start with two popcycle sticks and make a cross to introduce them to the joy of idolatry at an early age. Painting a picture of Jesus is another excellent way to open their hearts and minds to idol worship at an early age which should carry them well into adult apostasy and into hell with us. Don’t forget to include cards and gifts to Mom and Dad on their special holidays in order to strengthen the family ties which must be severed at true Christian conversion, but thanks to your unholy efforts and 6 to 8 years of your ’ministry’ should be sufficient to bind them to loyalty to family over Christ. Oh, don’t forget all the pagan Catholic holidays that we have foisted upon them to draw them away from the truth; Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. They are full of fun, art, and worldly entertainment for those precious little souls you want to deceive. I’m sure you and my demonic staff in hell can come up with more creative ways to ruin the next generation. Just start planning early for their adulterous sexual encounters you call dating and engagement and be sure to continue your 50%+ divorce rate to keep them motivated to sin willfully and often. Yours in deception, Screwtape

look at a local dollar store for craft supplies. Some places will give you a discount to teachers buying for their class.

I seem to remember loving pipe cleaners and popsicle stick log-cabins! dont let em eat too much glue. And good for you doing that--how awesome! Ohhh and those yarn cross weaving pop-stick star thingys ps--why do they dis-like coloring? Give them a theme, or have them coclr first, then decorate w/glitter and noodles and cat food.

Why, are you a crafts teacher. Read from God's word. There are many passages that they would like.
