America's Japanese Ambassador?

Does anyone know the name of the United State's ambassador to Japan? Also, any idea how much he/she gets paid?

Ambassador J. Thomas Schieffer. He would be an employee of the US Department of State

The US Ambassador to Japan is not the American ambassador to Japan, he does not represent Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Cuba, El Salvador, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Panama Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Nicaragua or any of the other American nations.

The US Ambassador to Japan is the United Statesian Amabassador to Japan.
