I prefer Morton's

Although Morton's is good, I would say Gene & Georgetti's is my favorite - something about the classic old city place that is worth the trip! For trendy, I would vote Nine as the best.

Nationally Ruth's Chris Steak House is the best. But not much better than Morton's of Chicago. If there is a RC's close try it. Amazing

Morton's is, indeed the classic. I prefer Lawry's Prime Rib, however. I left directions in the source box below. If you're a steak person, you will appreciate the outrageously good beef in this place. Sure, the servers' uniforms are dorky but one bite of the most tender beef ever, accompanied by the most delicate horseradish sauce....mmmm, what uniform?

My service was excellent at this place, by the way, and Chicago can be a little standoffish at times...

Ponderosa.
Just kidding!
Not the biggest steak lover, but Ruth's Chris is delectible
and so is Anthony's on Wabash around the corner from
the Chicago Theater.

Gibson's is my favorite, and that of many friends and acquaintances. The steaks are fantastic, as are the tenderloins. And, Gibson's has the sharpest service of any restaurant I know of. The waitstaff is always completely on point.
