my boyfriend doesn't talk a lot. how do i get him to talk?

Ask him about himself: sports, interests, hobbies.

Some people just are that way. If there is a problem that you need to talk about then you just need to tell him that. If not, let the boy be...when he wants to talk he will come to you and appreciate that you aren't the kind of girl who is always pestering him about "talking"

Start up a conversation about something you know he'll want to engage in. Does he like....um....smoothies the same way you do? Talk about it. Share it. Ask what he did with his parents during summer vacation. Anything to break the ice and get you both talking.

Ask him really crazy things. Or write letters this way he has time think about what he wants to say. And you should be happy he is not controlling. Controlling people talk alot. Enjoy.

ask questions and dont be afraid of silence for a while, also he may just be quiet and thats ok as well, you have to ask yourself if your need for conversation is more than he can provide. He also may just want to be encouraged and reassured that you really do want to hear his opinion on things and once he knows that he will be more willing to talk.

Try to talk to him about the things he likes, try to get him to open up a little, but if that doesn't work, then you will just have to find somebody that is going to communicate with you.

If he's not talkative you'll probably have to submerse yourself in 1 or 2 of his true interest (with or without him). If you begin a convo. about something he can't ignore or a question about something he "loves", he won't feel any presure to speak, words will just spill out.

Put an electrode on one testicle, and the other on the opposite testicle then connect it to a car battery. Or, you could pull out his fingernails, or cut him up and pour alcohol on him. Or you could douse him with gas and light a match. That should scare him into talking. Go ahead and light him on fire if he wont, but you'll need to put it out pretty quickly if you dont want him to die.

Try to start off by talking about somthing that he is intersted in....once he gets going on that, maybe he will be able to talk about other things as well

talk about something he likes. Also get him around more people and he would start talking.
