you will know you are in love when you cant explain it. pure giniuine love is not explained. no diffinition for it. only felt. not explained. so when you wake up and cant describe what you feel, then its love. and no it dont always take years. love knows no time limit. time has no control. when you feel it, you feel it. regardless of how long its been since you met him or her. when its there, its too late. your in love.

I can't really say... I have been with several men who I thought were the "ONE"...lol....they only become the "ONE" when they feel the same way you do.
