Their religion is right and true for them. It's all relative. Ce'st la vie.

(Understand that this is just my opinion) I know my beliefs and I know how I feel about aspects of religion but I respect everyone elses views and opinons. Some people just feel that the religion they are affiliated with is the only absolute right one simply because it makes them feel included. If they are in the "correct" group then they are in a way popular and they feel good about themselves and they feel like they are in power over the other "wrong" groups. A lot of it comes from society creating class systems through history in which one group was better or more powerful than the others. Hopefully that makes sense. Now as to why there are so many religions. It is just like the class systems. Everyone has an opinion and a view and somewhere in history, they just found others with the same views and thus the many many religions of the world

Any religion built around Christianity is a bad one. This includes all the sectors such as Adventists. Jesus christ was a Jew whose mission was to change the lives of other jews. He never meant to found a church. The religion Chrisitianity comes after he was long dead because in trying to defend themselves from empires, the followers wrote down all the things that Jesus did, may have done, thought he had done into what we now call the Bible. That there be many religions is because nowadays, religion is business. Human greedy is the cause of all this.

Different religions have developed over time as a result of various social, economic, geographic, and political factors. People develop a connection to one of these religions based on several factors.
1.) They are born into a family that practices that religion, so they identify with it from a young age.
2.) They begin to associate with other members of the religion for cultural reasons, such as sharing the same ethnic background, and in the process begin to associate with the religion.
3.) They have a spiritually uplifting or mystical experience that brings them closer to that religion.
4.) They see the religion as being compatible with their sciemtific or intellectual beliefs.
5.) They are attracted to the religion because its cultural aspects may be different, and thus more appealing than their own personal cultural background.

Well, if they feel that their religion is right for them, is guiding them correctly in their spiritual journey, then it's not the wrong religion. The only "wrong" religion is the religion that you claim to believe in because you were taught that it is best or to fit in (say in school or because you marry someone and think you should have the same religion, even when you don't believe in what your spouse believes). Also, a "wrong" religion is one that claims that harming others is okay. Other than that, they're all good religions.

One of the enemy's tactics is division (a house divided against itself cannot stand). If you recall it was the religious ones that persecuted and killed our Lord Jesus. It's not about religion. God wants a personal relationship with each and everyone of us. Many religions such as Catholic and other s that follow Jewish traditions are more about bondage and distractions than actually living like Christ and telling of the Good News, that if you believe in him you will be saved and spend eternity in Heaven not Hell. Too often we are caught up in our own life and problems and not reaching out to help others, that's wrong. Pointing fingers and debating over do this or not is wrong. Do what the whole Bible says (New Testament, as that is the new covenant since Jesus came to set us free), and love God 1st and love thy neighbor. That's what it's really about.

No such thing as a wrong religion.

Religions come from shared beliefs in a set location. There are several reasons for many different religions. One I mentioned was shared beliefs, the other was a set location, i.e. a tribe in the Amazon Forest in Brazil may not have a universal religion - theirs is an animist religion, where they personify surroundings with Gods or departed ancestors. Some dominating religions may force animist religions to convert to the dominant religion; however, those tribes choose to blend their own religion with the "dominant" religion, resulting in unusual practices.

Some religions come from splits from a major religion such as Catholicism and Christianity. Christianity is more of a universal religion; however, from that universal religion, we have orthodox aspects such as Byzantine Catholicism, moderate aspects such as Roman Catholicism, or from Christianity, a liberal, conservative, male dominated, or women dominated aspects, depends on the reason why.

Roman Catholicism has its own splits as well, from this comes Lutheranism, Baptist, Methodist, Shakers and many. Many of these "sub" religions are more conservative and target on certain aspects of the general Roman Catholicism. Lutheranism splits from the Roman Catholic by terms of creed and a more of a humble existance compared to the history of Catholicism, which is usually about politics, money and the like.

The Jewish religion is not a sole religion, there are varities in that religion - they share one thing - no Jesus, it is how they practice their religion that sets them apart from the main Jewish practices.

Wicca and related religions base their practices as communing with nature. They have a deep set respect for nature and what it has to share with the humans.

I'm a Roman Catholic by birth and upbringing, practice Christianity, respect the earth and try not to prejudice against others that are different, because we all learn from each other. That is why I say that there is no right religion. They all come from two sources, faith and belief in something higher than themselves.

It is inside of every human being to believe in a supreme being. It was put there by God. The Bible says to each man has been given the measure of faith to believe. Here is where we run into the problem... a bunch of people believing in God but not wanting to deny themself to follow the one true way. Now in an attempt to satisfy our craving for God but not wanting to deny ourselves we create a God to fit OUR liking. If God wasn't real, this wouldn't be a problem, however He is real and He is the only way He is. II Timothy 4:3,4 says that people will not endure sound doctrine but after their OWN desires they will heap teaching upon teaching to satisfy their itching ears. This is why they're are so many different religions. If you are interested in knowing what is THE TRUTH AND THE ONLY TRUTH email me and we will discuss it.

I am non denominational Christian and while I am a very open minded person I do wonder, as you, why so many believe so differently. It has to do with interpretation, regional influences, and how we as individuals are raised. And since we have now spread out so much in the world and have grown to such a huge world wide population, there is a faith and view for every person.Even if that faith and view is to not believe in anything.

If you mean why r there so many different religions. At first God (Allah)sent Moses (peace be upon him)with the Torah.,but Jews made changes in the scriptures of The Torah. Then God sent Jesus(peace be upon him)to correct religion for mankind. Then Christians did like The Jews. Then God sent Mo hammed(peace be upon him)with Koran to correct religion for all mankind and told in Koran that HE sent this (Zikr i.e Koran)and He(Allah) is saving IT i.e.from change.

Faiths come in two major versions-

1.) The stuff you grow up with, and

2.) The stuff you come to believe later.

As our faith develops, we either stick with our childhood groups, or look for groups we are 'happy' with. The group does not need to match our belief 100%, but we want to feel... 'something' when we are there.

Different things 'resonate' with different people- the terms used in service, ritual or lack thereof, the way people dress or socialize, the music used, etc. Some combination of elements hits each of us differently and says 'this is home to me'.

The sad thing is that we then usually start to let them determine our beliefs, instead of us forming them independently- but that is a different story!
