I was listening to this new song by Panic! at the disco and the radio station bleeped out God but not Damn wich is a curse word. Also they didn't bleep out a whole lot of other words like slut, or ***** but they bleep out God?! I was wondering what you thought of this?

And yes I understand that it's not okay to use God's name in vain but I'm sure that not why they bleeped it out.

People are offended by the word "God", but more offended by the word "Jesus". I guess because it burns the athiest librals to even hear God's name. They go out saying "politicaly inncorrect!". Well they can go jump in a lake. The more offened they are because of my faith, the more I want to talk about Jesus. O yeah, I have a question, why do you listen to trashy music? It's like pure garbage, don't clogg your mind with it. Listen to some wholesome Christian music instead. I myself like listening to Mark Shultz, Jeremy Camp, Matthew West, Casting crowns, and Third Day.
Their music is cool, it's not a bunch of old hymns. I'm a teen, I know what good music is.

This is all so bizarre to me... Are these people answering this question Christian?
The Bible says that 'thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain'. A Christian should consider the use of the word 'God' in a context like this to be much worse than any four-letter word could be. I'm amazed at what I see written here!
Someone actually has written that the people who bleeped out 'God' were Atheists - when in fact it is only Atheists who are unafraid to show that word for the empty thing that it is!

Because more people get offended by the misappropriation of the word God. You can throw the word "damn" in just about any situation. With the word God you should be more careful.

It's probably because people get less offened when it is just curse words and more offeneded when God is used in a curse word phrase.I think if people don't like what they hear then don't listen to what is being said or played or shown.Sadly, censorship rules.

The airwaves and our country are slowly being held hostage by right wing evangelical Christians. They send mass email blasts to media companies who broadcast things that are offensive to them. It is slowly tearing the constitution apart. I feel that god damn should be able to be used. they use the words ***** and *** so why not god damn. I am tired of them trying to influence our government and everything in daily life.

Because they are atheists and believe that God isn't real.....or because some people don't believe so they have to bleep it out so they don't offend anyone. Some people don't like even saying 'God', let alone hearing it. But I think it's because they are atheists and don't want to say God!

well they are trying to completly take God out of our lives because those who dont believe in God are offended by Him. But they dont think we as christians are offended by the cursing and other stuff because we christians wont speak up and stand up for ourselves.

because the censers are forgetting their priorities,in this day and age ,and it worries me .i was watching a show the other day and they came right out and said the g.d word without censoring it thats whats wrong with tv today they dont care
