They are probably eating dinner, watching tv, playing video games and on the phone or computer all at the same time.

I dont know about everyones house but here's what happens at mine: Get home from work 5:10 pm, start dinner, lets dogs out, entertain one yr old son while cooking dinner and fit in exchanging how our day was between husband and myself. around 6 sit down to eat dinner, while feeding baby, 6:20 done with dinner, I start cleaning up dishes and table while husband cleans up the baby, when thats all done we all go outside in yard for playtime from about 645 to 745. then its into feed and water all dogs and cats. by eight I start bath water for baby and we both get in and get our bath, husband comes in takes baby to get him diapered and in pj's while I get out and brush out hair and brush teeth, then by 830 I am in chair giving baby a bottle and rocking him to sleep, (if all goes well I take baby to crib by nine) and then its on to a little relax for me on the couch from about 9-10 then bed. EVERY NIGHT. pretty exciting huh? but ya know what I wouldnt trade the time I spend with my son for anything

Well kids either do homework or watch TV or IM and one of the parents is either working or making dinner and sometimes watching TV.
