It is not necessary for all to believe in the same religion. That would make the world a rather boring place. What we actually should do is seek the truth. I believe truth is absolute (no shades of gray) when it comes to who God is and what He wants for us. Jesus claimed He is the Truth ("I am the way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by me.") and I happen to believe Him mainly because of what He taught and what He did. People enjoy different types of worship and fellowship so it is not desirable for all of us even as Christians to be in one "religion". There is however only one True God and Jesus taught us that He was the way to get to Him. By the way, becoming a Christian does not entail joining a religion but rather accepting forgiveness from God through the Christ and developing a personal relationship with Him as a child with his father. :-)

Ideally that would be great, unfortunately I don't believe that it is impossible. Someone always wants to be right, no matter what. I mean look at Christianity for example, they all generally believe the same thing, but they are consistently dividing themselves because of little differences in interpretation of someone. Also if we all were the same religion then that wouldn't leave room for everyone to believe that they are the "right" religion. And I believe that one believing that there way is the right way doesn't leave room for there to be a unified religion.

Why not? If you look closely the main prophetic religions all have the same foundation and the differences are just based on little things like culture, diet, what title should be bestowed upon Jesus etc. In the past people have deliberately made themselves different to cause division. There was a time when Muslims and Christians would pray together.Perhaps we can reverse these changes and go back.

Yes, just like it is told about in the Bible. When Christ comes back we will all be Christians and the truth will be known. If you really think about it, one religion HAS to be right. We are going to die and something will happen. Either we go to heaven, hell, or come back as something else. But, there can only be ONE truth. No matter how hard someone wants to believe in their particular religion, it will not change the outcome. The Bible is the only true way.

Today we have two kinds of people, the normal people that accept their place in the universe as mortal intelligent animals and the primitives that still hold to the belief that they have not evolved from animals but are somehow superior.
I like to believe that in the future people will be more educated and will be able to accept their own mortality, because of this they will not need the clutch of religion to go through life.

There are many religious, but only one true God, and one true savior, the other religions would represent false Idols and would be breaking a very important commandment.
Some will continue inventing new gods and new religions claiming to be false prophets, and such, but the only true way to heaven is Jesus Christ, that is why the importants of christianity being spread to other countries, that do not receive the word yet.

Only when the anti-christ comes.
Until then, everyone will stay separate.
There is only 1 truth, for some reason everyone wants to believe something different.
So for those of you who don't believe the truth, you will believe in the one religion when it comes.

It's highly unlikely and improbable. In the Bible, if you read Revelation you'll find that Christians become in the minority after the Anti-Christ unites the nations. Even people in the same religion can have wildly different interpretations and ideas of faith and God, so in a way we all have different religions because we all see God differently.

AÄabey,
I believe that we will all come to share the same beliefs in the end. I believe that truth is eternal and that truth always wins out against lies, deceit and propaganda. I have nothing but hope for the future of the human race and that we will all overcome the sickness that plagues us at the moment.

NO! Religion is a tool. Primitive man didnt war over religion, they knew God was real in their heart. They didnt have to read a book or listen to other people. No matter what anyone says religion is an interpretation.
