Unbelief. Because of unbelief, you make everything that God spoke or promised to you through His word or Jesus Christ null and void. So your struggle remains and you become depressed. I deal with it by applying by faith and overcoming what I have trouble believing what God can deliever me from by applying His word, trusting in God and doing what He says. Sometimes its lust, sometimes it's jealousy, sometimes it's pride or a bad attitude, but if I believe in Christ, then all things work for good and I am free from my struggle because I applied faith by the grace He gives.

Pride is the sin most Christian's struggle with.

Usually the more someone thinks they don't have it, the more obvious it is to those around them.

How do I deal with my own personal problem of pride? Whenever I catch myself thinking that there should be more people like myself, I remind myself of who I really am.

Yes, I do read the Bible and teach and a lot of other good things BUT I have also done a lot of harm to people.

When I remember that I can do just as much bad as I can good...it keeps me humble.

It also helps if you have close friends that remind you of who you are. They will say only a few words to me...like, "Oh, really?" Whenever I get on my soap box. That lets me know that I'm not all that...and I don't always do as I preach.

Well to hear them tell it, you'd think the only sin in the entire world was lust, since that's what they seem to spend 99.9% of their energy obsessing on. That's never made any sense to me.

Sloth is the number two sin that American christians speak out against, I think to an unwarranted extent, sometimes it seems that they are more concerned about accidentally helping someone who doesn't need or deserve it, then they are about helping someone who does need it.

To answer the question, though American Christians struggle with pride, wrath, and greed, but pride and wrath are the worst.

I've lived in a number of places and it seems to be almost universal among the majority of American Christians to be excessively prideful about themselves, their families, and their country and filled with wrath when it comes to revenge, punishing the guilty, and war. Humility and compassion for those who have wronged you seem to be completely absent from the focus of American Christian teachings. Sometimes it's easy to forget we live in a majority Christian country!

The sin that all Christians deal with is pride. It is a very sneaky sin that creeps up and gets you when you are trying to be good. The next most prevelant is probably lust for one thing or another. The answer is to ask God to help you to recognise these things and to try with all your might and diligence to do it. Pray for strength to resist and wisdom to see. May God bless and protect you.

it's different for every Christian, kid. you can't just choose one, like the first answer 'SEX' and say that every single Christian has a major issue with that. every Christian is different ... in fact, you don't even have to be a Christian to understand. struggles are put in our way to make us stronger. for Christians, God puts struggles in our way as tests or even preparations to put on the right road.
i guess the biggest "sin" that atheists deal with though is accepting that fact: the fact that they have to give into someone, an entity of all things, stronger and better than them.

As archaic as it sounds, I'd say "pride" and "idolotry". Pride because we all think we're "all that" and hang on tight to our own selfish interests and easily take offense when someone challenges us. We hate authority, even if it's for our own good/protection. We are arrogant and not at all humble. Idolotry because we are all about the "stuff" and not the substance in life. We put a lot of stuff in front of worshipping God and just thanking him for what we do have. We let others (ex: fashion, movie stars) tell us what we need to do with our lives and bodies instead of checking out what God says we need to do. Maybe this doesn't make sense to anyone else, but, that's what I think.

That's something each individual must decide for themselves. And each denomination says to do different things to deal with one's sins.

I know that when I examine my conscience before Confession, I can usually find 3 or 4 that need to be dealt with on a regular basis.

How do I deal with the problem? Constant prayer and Bible study.

Sex. How to deal with it? Turn off the television and live with abstinence.

Or get married if you have too, but that is not the answer to everything.
