There are many ailments that can be cured or treated with plants herbs and flowers even foods (fruits vegetables and even oats and rice).

If you have a lot of acid in yr stomach, a doctor will give you PROTONIX or something costly, but my aunts and grandma used to make and now I do too, a very liquid oat and water mix that would boil and if you drink that it neutralizes the acid instantly.

Today's pharmaceutical companies do not want you to know that you can be cured or treated for many illnesses with other than their medications which in turn have many side effects but bring them lots of money!

Coriander leaves (cilantro in Spanish) is great for stomach aches, latin people cook with it in soups and chicken stews. You can make tea with coriander leaves if you dont know how to cook with it. Fresh herbs always the bst.

Eucaliptus, mint, mullein, are a few other herbs that help the respiratory track tremendously. Make tea with them or some even for hydrotherapy(congestions).

Are you constipated? dont reachh out for those expensive remedies at the grocery store or pharmacy. EAT PAPAYA in the morning every day. You will become regular and feel lots better. Drinking Coffee also does the trick, but not decaff.

What happens though is most people go for a pill that is quick to pop in the mouth. They avoid strange tastes and smells and they are afraid of them all because the pharmaceutical companies also have put fear in today's society (in America).
I find that one gets to grow into new tastes even if at first one do not like it. When you see the positive effects of alternative plants healing your body you will rather do this than ruin your body with expensive medications. (however if you ahve a bad illness JUST GO TO DOC and ask opinion and evaluation). Doctors however, do not know anything about herbs, flowers and plants or even fruits healing.

Tired and puffy under eye circles? Grated potatoe and cucumber relief much of the problem.

Bad kidneys? well not a cure but it helped m y uncle for decades with bad kidneys: boil the hairs of several ears of corn and drink the tea it makes from it. Drink it daily. It cleanses the kidneys.

Hydrogen Peroxide to kill throat germs and reduce the cold symptoms. Even treat gingivitis with it. 1/2 tsp Hydrogen Peroxide and half a glass of water, gargle a few times and spit water out. It kills the germs, and brightens the teeeth. Plus if you mix a little with water when you wanter flowers and plants you will have them bloom much bigger and brighter.

Try getting a good book on the subject. I have one from ARgentina but it is in Spanish, it has been the most valuable source for me (and I have a terminal ailment that has found much relief many times on herbs and flowers and plants and fruits). My book is called THE HEALING AND CURING POWER OF PLANTS. by CULTURAL LIBRERA AMERICANA S.A. IN BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA.

You may want to check if there is a translation of it. IT'S AN ABSOLUTE MUST FO RYOU!

tHOUGH the recipes above are my own family's.

My grandpa had the hiccups for 3 days straight. THREE DAMN DAYS! He finally went to the doctor, who prescribed some sort of muscle relaxer, if I'm remembering correctly. The nurse pulled him aside as he was leaving and told him before he went and bought the prescription, he should go eat a dill pickle. Being the penny pincher my grandfather is, he thought he would give that a shot. And it worked! Now anytime anyone in our family has the hiccups, we have to eat a dill pickle.

My husband always teased me about it, and he never would do it when he got the hiccups. After 5 years of marriage, he finally decided to do it, if, once he proved it didn't work, I would never tell him to eat a pickle for the hiccups again. I wish I had a camera to capture the look on his face when it worked! LOL

Dill relish sometimes work, but a bite of a whole pickle or one of those sandwich stackers always works for me. And it's JUST dill. The sweet ones don't work...

A boiled onion and garlic placed on your chest will cure a sinus congestion...

A shot of "Old Crow" soaked on a tooth will cure a toothache..

And my least favorite childhood memory ever..your own urine cures ear infections for life... but I think that's because you're scared to freakin death your granny will make you do that again, so you use
MIND OVER MATTER to prevent ever having another ear ache...or any other ailment that the 'old indian home remedies' scare the hell out of you.

At least two. This one worked for me once: bad cold, a bottle of good gin (Beefeaters), straight or on the rocks, in one setting, next morning felt like crap but the cold was gone. This was about '95 and not had a cold since!

#2: bad headache, drop 20lb sledgehammer on foot from at least 3 feet high, headache gone. From personal experience.

If you have a urinary track infection drink insane amounts of cranberry juice and it will go away in about 12 hours.

If you feel a canker sore coming on, eat yogurt.

A shot of blackberry brandy stops coughing. And bread dipped in milk and bandaged over a sliver draws out the sliver. (That really does work)
