I'm being baptized after 23 years and I'm being emersed. I'm not sure what I should wear during the baptism. There arent any robes used.

Pants or shorts and a dark shirt as to not show yourself thru your clothes-you know what I mean.

If you're still not sure, ask someone at the church what they think is appropriate.

CONGRATS on your baptism! That's great!!!

If there is no official requirement? then maybe you should wear something that mean from your heart, just like you are transforming or having a new life or attend a important ceremony to see some important people...what you going to wear?

It do depend on how this baptism goes, like full baptism that require to totally cover with water, then you may do need to find some suitable wear and not those easy to see through type to protect yourself.

But God happy with people that know how to respect Him, as long that wear is suitable, or from the bottom of your heart, or got some special meaning...the price and value or look are not important, as long it is your respect to God then it will be fine ;)

ur supposed 2 wear like a white robe.thats what i wore 2 my baptism. but not like a house robe (im sure u knew that though) u can go 2 http://www.murphyrobes.com/view_prods.asp?catid=3&subcatid=13&qs=0 and find baptism gowns and stuff (maybe u should talk 2 ur church about the website though the gowns are like by the bulk)

I am Mormon, when we are baptized, we wear a white jumpsuit type thing because we are fully emersed in the water...I have only seen children of 8 be baptized so not sure what someone older would wear.

White is traditionally worn as a sign of being clean but just wear what ever you feel comfortable with, not denims, becuase when i was baptised i wore denim and it soaked up the whole pool!

The same thing Adam and Eve wore before the fall. After all you are going back to innocent Eden.

Wear a shirt that says, "God saves. Gretzky scores on the rebound."

or something along those lines.

Congrats on the baptism!

i think this would depend on what church you are being baptized into.
Ask the preacher what you need to wear.

I have ben to churches that baptized people in swim suits or street clothes and in the LDS church you are given a white jump suit to wear so its best to ask the church doing the baptizm.

Anything that you don't mind getting soaked! Just make sure you bring a change of clothes for afterwards. Me, I was wearing a bathing suit.
