Your hair will still be thick, however if you have it layered just right it can maintain it. Also the weight of the long hair actually pulls it down a little and gives it a less unruly look.

Get your hair texturized as it grows. Thick hair in the summer can be very difficult to manage, not to mention the added discomfort of the heat.
One great product for thick hair is Main N Tail. It's a terrific detangler and follicle smoother, and can be found at Drug Emporium, Walgreens, or Sally's Beauty Supply. Your hair will thin a little as it grows longer, but it will still be thick. I learned the hard way; I had to cut 18 inches off of my hair because I didn't condition enough as it grew out and the tangling and comb-out was murder. DO get regular trims to avoid splitting the ends; your hair will grow out smoother and healthier.

Yes, the shorter layers can create more thickness, so growing it out should help. Also, try using a really good shampoo for thick hair to keep it from frizzing out...

Yes it would, however once it gets a little longer have it layered to thin it out. My daughter has really thick hair, that worked for her.

Growing your hair longer may make it appear less thick, but gets really hard to brush! (believe me, i have thick hair too) A great thing to do is to go to your hair dresser and have them thin out your hair. They wont make it too thin so it looks bad, they'll just make it look like well.... regular! Get your hair thined about every 6 months and your good to go!

yes having long hair weighs it down, I have naturally curly hair and is thick once I grew it out it looked much better.
You can ask your hairdresser to thin your hair out or style to reduce the weight in the hair.
Also leaving conditioner on the ends of your hair will also reduce the thickness

No, if you want it to stay think then just let it keep going. You can have it thinned out if you don't want to have it so thick. I have naturally curly hair and when it is curly it is pretty thick but when I straighten it out it looks thin

yeah, i was gonna get my hair cut short, but the person suggested that i not, cause she said my hair would poof out if i did, cause my hair is thick. so if ur hair is longer ur hair won't be as "poofy".
