Can you tell me something: let's say I'm a model. So if I am, is it absolutley necesary to have photos of me naked? Because I see that almost all models do that. Even Adriana Lima does this...

No

What a photographers like to see is the number of different "looks" you can carry off. Clients are looking for healthy, toned bodies with clear skin and a natural (little make-up) look.

At some point in time you may be asked to pose nude. Take a serious look at what the photographer is really trying to accomplish. It might be a beautiful photo....or it could be something else.

Also be very careful about the model release that you sign. Be sure to get a copy of it for your files.....and then KEEP THE FILE.

Hmmmm...you're hot. If you have a lovely body, it may open up $ opportunities...if it's against your character, then don't. Once you go nude, you lose a bit of privacy even amongst your friends. Many females do so to advance themselves, and they don't get too much in return except being used. IF you DO want to, hold out as long as you can to get the best offers...but remember, the human body changes and there are always younger hotties coming up that see it as a way for fame, fortune, and fantasies. If you have any modeling pics, you can IM some my way. Not absolutely necessary...not all models do.

There is no 'must' in modeling when it comes to what type of pictures you have to take and have to have in your portfolio.

True, a lot of models have done some fashionable nudes as it has been requested of them. But it would surprise me if they had them going into the career.

Certain models specialize in certain things. Some do nude photos, some do bathing suits, some do make-up, some do clothes, some do hair, etc. So u really don't have to have photos of u nude unless your specializing in that area of modeling.
*trust me theres alot more to life then showing your personal self.

No you don't have to. I would only get naked for Top Model or Playboy. But just to start off with some small company. Wait till your sure, and if your never sure don't do it.

No, you so don't have to. That's called porn. Don't you want to be a respected model? You need to get head shots and send them to an agency not join playboy. I know you're so much better than that.

no ...you should only do what you feel comfortable doing ther are many types of models and not all do nude work you may limit the number of jobs you can get but you must be true to yourself first

You can be a model w/o doing nude photoshoots. Sometimes, though, it depends on who your agent is or what kind of work you do. Most models that make it big have to do nude pics.
