July 14th is Bastille Day and a lot of shops are closed in celebration. If you have the opportunity to go back at some point and see Paris, do it that way!

If you can visit Paris later why worry about Paris now? Paris will always be there when your good and ready to see it and whatever it has to offer. Visit Paris later whenever you like.

July 14th is a national holiday "Bastille Day" you may want to stay and check out the festivities! Never been in Paris for the holiday (just other french areas) but I bet it is the best city to experience it in. This will be my 3rd year in France over that holiday, it is a good time!
