That depends, are you looking for sheer dvd quality or the best movie. My favorite movie is Pride & Prejudice (the 5-hour miniseries), but it definitely doesn't have the best video transfer or special features around. For that I would look to Star Wars III or the Wizard of Oz collector's set. Many of the Warner Brothers super-resolution dvds are very nice to watch as well, such as Meet Me In St. Louis.

Depends entirely on your preference of what you like to watch. if you are simply talking about quality of picture I would say try "Fifth Element" pereferrably the super-bit version. If you are just looking for the best DVD to watch, there are quite a few. I would say
Gladiator
Saving Private Ryan
Braveheart
are probably some of the best.

Depends on what you mean. I like Sony brand DVD's. I find that they are very durable. (I have two young monsters.)
As far as movies go, my favorite DVD is a tie between Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Barbie Mermadia. The Barbie one is real cute!

It depends on what you like, I like fantasy/adventure so I would say "The 10th Kingdom" but that movie is not for everyone, and it is a good 7 hours long.
