Of course. The post op effects are a risk for infection, potential for bleeding, potential for swelling and bruising at the surgical site and around the eyes (depends on what and how much is done), tissue swelling inside the nasal passage and lots of pain. If you are considering cosmetic rhinoplasty, you should consult with a cosmetic surgeon, or I think the new term is aesthetic surgeon. Sheesh!

You indeed can change the shape of your nose. I can't remember exactly what it's called right now, but basically they can use either a small man-made piece of bone or either a small piece of bone taken from somewhere on your body and plae it on the top of your existing nose bone. I'm actually having this procedure done hopefully by the end of the year. I was in a car accident about a year ago and broke my nose so bad that it changed the shape. I'd like to get it as close to the way it used to be that I can.
Not sure what the after-effects are.

yes. After effects can be pain, inability to breathe through the nose for a period of time, bruising, and again, pain. There are complications exist, so you'll want to talk with a licensed, board certified in Plastic Surgery, surgeon about them. : )

I will always remember whats her name who had a nose that she said was too big and that it looked like a potato. She had plastic surgery performed on it and when I saw her the next time she asked me what I thought. I said that it didn't look like a potato any more. It looked more like a banana!

Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.

my cousin got a couple of plastic surgery including her rhinoplasty procedure through the forerunners healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA.hope this helps.

yes of course. IT depends on whether you have it trimmed down to be small, or enlarged to look like a big banana.

If you have it turned into a banana, then the after effects will include a lot of ridicule.
