I've had three in a year. I know exactly what you mean. But you definately need antibiotics, it will NOT go away on it's own. ever. So don't let it go unattended for too long or it can get worse and turn into a bladder or kidney infection (which is even more painful). But I'm sure you're doctor told you that.
Also drink LOTS of cranberry juice right before you go to bed. The acids in it will sit in your bladder for a long time and help kill of the infection a little bit. You can also try Azo Standard (it turns your urine orange, but it's ok). That also helps kill infection and helps make you not feel like you have to pee 24-7. Good luck!

I suffered with urinary tract infections for years and lived on antibiotics. Bactrim worked for me. I came to learn that I was allergic to condoms and that is why I always had an infection. I mean, I'd feel better when taking the meds, but a few days later, pain when I'd pee. It makes you really raw and irritated so that is why you see blood when you wipe. You should be on meds longer than just three days. I'd recommend a urinary type specialist if it keeps up. Always drink alot of water. And sugar free cranberry juice is good. The ones with sugar are not good because of the sugar content and the bacteria feed on the sugar!!

It appears like burning, anguish or affliction whilst you urinate or proper after. You additionally think such as you must urinate badly, however whilst you pass it is only a little bit. Drink plenty of beverages without a caffeine. Don't drink gentle beverages. Drink cranberry juice (Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail has 10% cranberry juice that is the minimal) and take cranberry tablets till you'll get to the physician. The simplest technique to realize for certain is to get established. If it is an contamination the physician will deliver you antibiotics and a few tablets that kill the anguish of urinary tract infections. Go to the physician! It will simplest worsen after which it is REALLY painful. Been there.

Don't forget to drink more water. Drinking cranberry juice or cran/apple/grape, etc, will only cover up the UTI. Water helps flush your system & keep you hydrated. If you become dehydrated, drink Gatorade, Powerade or other sport drink to start the rehydration process. UTI's are scary, even though yours was caught early. I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy & was freaked out a little bit. Hope you feel better soon!

Antibiotics to treat UTI's work fairly quickly. It's good you went to your doctor when you did as this could have spread to your kidneys then you get into some probs then. UTI's are fairly common in women.

Yes and they suck its nothing to worry about if you take your meds till they are gone.
If you don't take them till they are gone it can come back and get into your kidneys and then you have to be in the hospital fever and all that nasty crap.
If you cut back on caffeine drink more water and cranberry juice and I guess peeing after sex helps too.

it also helps if you drink cranberry juice, it is a natural way to clean your kidney's, of course take all your antibiotics so that when it goes away it stays away.

I'm sorry I can't be much help. I hope you get better soon!
