is a total myth that certain foods have a negative calorific rating. and how do you measure calories? by quantity or portion? can i post questions in an answer? Apples, by the way, have as many calories as a small chocolate bar, (about 100 calories), so are not a low-cal food. Same applies to bananas. In fact, any non-citrus fruit is quite calorific, natural sugars etc.

Cucumber, lettuce, grapefruit, and (already mentioned) celery. These foods require more calorie expenditure for digestion than are actually contained in the food to start with.

Celery takes more calories to eat than it gives. So you loose weight eating it. Put lots in your salads, try it with a little salt or as a snack. dip in Olive or Canol oil.

Most fruit and veg. Especially celery and cucumber. You can burn more calories eating cucumber than you gain from it.
