They aren't advertised as 100% effective, you just think of it that way because they don't make a big deal of the failure percentage because it is so small.

Sadly, nothing is every 100% effective but newer, better vaccines are being developed that should have higher immunization rates than older ones currently out there.
I think there's a skewed view about vaccines right now about what good they actually do (lots) and there may be some emphasis out there to make vaccines seem more effective than they actually are because people today are chosing not to get vaccinated (much to the dismay of health officials).
Vaccines may not be 100% effective but they sure are better than not getting them.

Vaccines are encouraged by governments because in their judgement it is in the interests of the community to have all individuals vaccinated. However may not be in the interest of one person to be vaccinated as they can free-ride on the community.
No medicine is 100% effective or 100% safe. I have given my children the mmr jab but I believe there may be a link to autism. I just worry more about Measles and the wasn't a single vaccine choice available.

I guess it is to get people to take their vaccines-some help is better then none- If people are told they were not 100% effective people would not have the vaccines.

There are no 100% effective vaccines in the world. If a pharmaceutical company advertise that, then they should be sued because there are still probability that the virus can still get you.

they are not touted as 100% effective but the failure rate is so low, i personally would rather take the shots than get the disease i am being immunized against.

why do you believe everything people tell you ? do you know how vaccines work ? they actually give you what you're trying to avoid and hope your antibodies defense system will bulk up in case you do encounter the virus or bacteria. that's how it works. if you ask me that's like playing with fire. i personally am not one of those people that gets flu shots every year. healthy eating and living will do ya just fine unless you have some sort of auto immune deficiency.

They are for they teach the body to fight foreign bodies. If they fail to be 100% effective then it is the body which is dull.
