Lemon juice works but not well. it is a very slow process. Whatever you do stay away from those so called sun bleaching products like Sun-In. They are nothing but bleach. Bleach has the rare quality of working as long as it is wet. In other words if you do not get all the product out of your hair every time you get your hair wet it will reactivate. Chances are you will reapply the product several times. I have seen it turn beautiful hair into a gummy mess. If you really want highlights see your salon professional. it is the best way to get exactly what you want without risking your hairs health.

Get some Sun In or A Touch of Sun. One is by Clairol. They are at grocery stores, drug stores, Wal Mart, etc, and not very expensive. But you need to have hair that is not black or dark brown. Light brown or dirty blonde works best. The lemon juice you would have to use all summer long.

If you have naturally brown hair (and I can only guess cos ur atavar has brown hair) then lemon juice wont work. The best thin if you want blonde hair is to go to a salon and get it lightened proffesionally. U'll find that most people will tell you that if u want to lighten ur hair then doing it urself is not a good idea.

Do NOT use peroxide like that person said!! Your hair will not turn blonde, but an ugly brownish white. Add lemon juice to your hair outside every few hours.

Most people who try this wind up with an unappealing orange color, if it works at all. If your hair is dark that is the likely result. Don't do it.
If you have to try, cut off a strand where you won't miss it and trial expose it to see how much lemon juice and how much sunlight it takes to make a change.

AAARRGHH....Don't do it!! You will end up with a nice gold/orange color hair. Same goes for Sun-In and products like it. It doesn't have the ability to lift your hair through the gold stage and that is necessary for your hair to become a nice shade of blonde. This is especially true if you have real dark hair to start with. And, it is wicked bad for your hair!! Your best bet is to go to a salon! If you can't afford it...purchase an at home highlighting kit and have a friend help you.
