My mum wants to know a nice area that she should look to buy a property in West Sussex. Shes been promoted and has to relocate there, and wants a nice clean safe small town to live in. Good access to Tesco/Marks&Spencer and easily accesible.

I would certainly say Midhurst in West Sussex.
Country Life Magazine has named Midhurst as the second best place to live in Britain, "an island of tranquillity" away from the transport problems of the south east.
Your mum will love it there.
