You'll to be more specific regarding the subject ... but let me give a suggestion or two. You can go to the www.historychannel.com and put a search in for the time frame 1865. That year is the end of the Civil War and in April 1865 Lincoln was assasinated at Ford's theatre in Washington, D.C. by John Wilkes Booth a prominant actor who hated Lincoln. You could also do a search on the Reconstruction Period (this historic period followed the Civil War). So you've got the end of the Civil War ... the assasination of Lincoln and the beginning of the Reconstruction Period ... I recommend history channel. com as a place to start.

Don't do the Civil War...It's too vague of a topic...Maybe do relief programs during the Great Depression or American Involvement in WW1 is good too. You can do about the Man on the Moon, the Berlin Wall, the Nuclear Meltdown at Three Mile Island, Creation of the State of Israel, Persian Gulf War....Hope this helps!!!!! :)

The period after the civil war was know as the reconstruction. Very seldom addressed in American History classes, it ran from 1866-1877, when the north was rebuilding the south, etc etc. Great stuff, you can put things about the foundation of civil rights in there.
It saw the birth of the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth amendments.

Go to www.freeforessays.com, go to the bottom of that page and click on "Enter free for essays" Register for an account. (To do this you must submit one of your papers) Go to your e-mail and activate it to get the free account. A lot of these papers are B.S papers, but there are some good ones. They have sources, too sometimes.
