Has anyone read something here contradictory to what they believe and changed their beliefs on the spot?

Yes, I have read things contradictory, but nothing can change my beliefs. I love my God and it has really brought me through some hard times!

Everyone who is religious here is ironically, also very biased and rude as a whole...so no, that doesn't much win me over to their way of thinking and beleiving. The atheist folk, and the non-denominational (however, profess a beleif in some Higher Spirit) people seem to be WAY more tolerant and down to Earth and able to deal with people respectfully. I fall into the latter category, and no, no one here has inspired me so far to join any religion.

An interesting question! It's salutary to see the range of beliefs and opinions, and some of it makes me think, and some of it keeps me up unhealthily late (like now: 2.22am), and some of it makes me very sad. It would be good to get behind the rudeness and the posturing to find out what motivates people to some of the questions and answers.

Yes!!! I always blamed the Catholics for the being the root of most of Christendom’s doctrinal errors, foibles, heretical teachings, but thanks to the public and private e-mails of a devout Orthodox heretic on this site named vqmstr , I came to realize that it is the Orthodox Church, not the Catholic Church, who are to blame for most of the mess we are in. Not that the Catholics are off the hook, but they merely added to the superstitions, idolatry, heretical ideas already formulated by the Orthodox Church. ( a special thanks to vqmstr, I have seen the light!)

I can't say that I have but I guarantee that the are some people who have. But, they prolly won't be able to explain how or why.

most people don't.. I haven't. This is why i think that alot of this is for the birds. people are just bashing.
