i am moving out and not sure how to talk to him. He has refered to me as dad for almost the whole 9 months i have lived with them. any suggestions

i have a kid who's 12..... my son is vary mature because i talk to him on a vary real level all the time about everything. so just be strait up.. hes hella big and should understand the situation.. he knows your not his dad, but apparently he likes you alot. his moms not with his dad so he must already understand the fact that sh.it happens. just keep IT real and explain to him that you like him alot and your sorry but its just not working out.

just be honest with the kid. let him know that things just didnt work out between the two of you. but u would still like to talk and maybe hang out with him. cuz he might still need the male role model in his life

dude you have bad my only advise is to let him know that you are breaking up whit his mom and not him that you would always be there for him no matter what let him know how much you love him and tell him that its not his fault its problems that adults go through.He obviously loves you don't let that kid down keep in touch with him he needs you.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

Just be honest with him and tell him why things didn't work out. Reassure him that it has nothing to do with him.
