Because the Rain King is watching you more closely than Santa Claus. He is up there on cloud #519 with his telescope and xray goggles. When he sees you are off of work, he says "hahahaha now it's the time to make some rain. Bwaahahhahahahaa". Then he laughs like a mad scientist maniac.
