Whoa Whoa Whoa!!!! I get the impression that some of you think I'm asking because I plan on doing this. I've been married for five years. This is just curiosity. Also, thanks for the "be careful" warning, but I'm a guy. I'm also 6 feet tall and weigh 220. I could fend off a rapist quite handily. :p

I've met up with a few people I've met off the internet. Not anyone off of Yahoo Answers though. I had pretty good experiences, but made sure that we had known each other for a while beforehand, and that the first few meetings just "happened" to be in public settings. I also let friends and family know where I was going to be and with whom. Just in case.

Just this last weekend my friend had a friend from MySpace drive over 400 miles to meet him, they went out and had a good time. Went back to his house and had sex. The next morning she left and drove home. They are now just friends, she's not interested in a relationship. So she came for the sex, that's what I believe.
My cousin has been married for 6 years now to a guy she met on line. Very nice guy.
I have never met up with anyone on line. I'm am not that daring. I'm protective of myself and I'm happy making friends on-line. It's nice to talk to people you don't know. But as far as really meeting them "NO WAY".

I have met my ex on line about 2 years ago and we talked about 8 days and went on a date to the movies on the 9th day and hooked up on the 10th day. Got engaged a year later and broke up a year after that/ And yes i wished that we have nevered met cause he had made my life a living hell.

I hooked up with someone I met on yahoo about 6 years ago. Worst mistake of my life, he ended up becoming very obsessed & started stalking me. Be careful, Best of luck.

i met a guy from yahoo answers!
he emailed me back in may and we talked for a few weeks through MSN and messenger and answered eachothers questions. we met on may 31st when he came to see me for 3 days. had a great time and i'm off to see him in July.....................
