how would you treat missing money? A friends 11 year old daughter is staying with me and 20 dollars came up missing today ....She openly lied to me yesterday about using my lipstick, and now this What should I do? I am calling her mother and probably taking her home sooner than they expect her....

Ask her about it first then if she acts the same way she did about the make up its time for her to go

Yes, she lied about the lipstick, but unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure she took the money, I would not confront her or her mother.

You have the right to send her packing... keep an eye on her and/or forbid her to visit... but I wouldn't say anything unless I knew for certain.

Many years ago I had a friend visiting. My aunt had some money taken from her purse. My mom banned the friend from visiting again. Months later we discovered it was my own COUSIN that snatched the money. Thankfully, my mom never confronted poor Kathy, but things were different since she hadn't been able to visit for so long.

In the first place lock up all your money when you have people in your house. Secondly, keep your room locked when you have kids around. Thirdly don't baby sit her anymore.

If you can't prove she took the money just let it slide,
but from here on in hide all money and anything else
you don't want her using
