I am blonde and have lots of highlights ...but i have naturally brown hair and i need to cover the roots for 2 WEEKS!

if you really like your hairdresser I would wait until she came back. Or you could go get it lighten with some one else.

You need to go to a beauty supply store and buy the die that is closer to the darkest blond that you have, get a 40 degree developer to get maximum lift of color. Mix both products together but make sure you measure them correctly. Apply the mix with a tooth brush on the roots only, and wait for 20-25 mins, check the color and wash it out. That trick should work OK for two weeks ,....

There are little home touch root touch up kits available at the drug store. Having been in that very same boat, I've used those before and they do ok, they are very user friendly.

I also read in a rather reputable magazine that you can use Kool-Aid, lemon for blonde, cherry for redheads, etc. Brunettes should use coffee. I've NOT tried this.

If it were a shorter time frame I'd just wear wide headbands and scarves, but check out the touch up kit.

where a hat. i color my hair at home an when i don't feel like re doing it i where a hat. i have lots of them, and change them every day. and its fun.
