Because they didn't know about dinosaurs then and the bible is a book of fiction loosely based on a few facts. Since they didn't know about dinosaurs then, how could have put them in the bible?

1. When the King James Bible was translated, the word dinosaur had not yet been coined, so of course it would not be there.
2. In Job 40:15-19 there is a creature (Leviathan) whose description sounds EXACTLY like a dinosaur.
3. Not every individual animal created was listed. No mention of the do-do bird, platypus, puma or kangaroo either, but we know they exist (or existed, in the case of the extinct do-do). Dinosaurs would be covered by "sea/air animals" created on day 5 or "land animals" created on Day 6, just as any other animal not specifically named in the Bible.

I want to say a few things in this answer. First, I think it might. Although the bible does not specifically say "And God created the dinosaurs," it does say that He created all the animals and plants. Therefore, that could have included dinosaurs. Also, it never said that a "day" was 24 hours. One "day" could be over 100s of billions of years, the amount of time dinos were on the Earth.

Yes, the dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible but they are not called dinosaurs. Dinosaurs is a western name that was created well after the bible was written. There are references to Leviathans (which are large scaly creatures - dinosaurs) and if you look in the book of Job, you will see references to this.

Well, the bible dose not say anything about dinosaurs because dinosaurs lived a looooooooooooooooooooong time before the people who wrote the bible came on the scene.

Because the Bible is not an actual representation of history. It is just a story that religious people like to believe is the best book ever written about science. Besides, humans have been around for nearly 50,000 years. Neanderthals go further back than that and so on and so forth. The dinosaurs however, have been extinct for around 65 million years.

That's a good question, since "divine wisdom" should be able to explain the beings that existed on this planet before us, and those that existed before them. The earth has been populated various times by different lifeforms and then all life eradicated by the impact of a comet on the earth's surface (about every 64 million years). This impact sends so much debris and dust into the atmosphere that the sun is blotted out, sending the planet into an ice-age of which we definitely know about the last one with the dinosaurs. It appears that "infinite wisdon" is not so wise. By the way, dinosaurs did not exist with man, they ruled the planet on their own in their time, as did the lifeforms before them.

People weren't living when the dinosaurs were. Besides the Old Testament is a written history of the Hebrews filled with action packed allegories, like Noah and the flood. What would be the point of writing about dinosaurs, they had nothing to do with Hebrew history.

Because the people who wrote the bible had no clue as to how old the earth really was?? So much for being divinely inspired.
If God wrote the bible, or at least had a hand in it, there should be some sort of fact contained therein that no human alive at that time could have known - something only a god could have known. Instead it's filled with human fears, superstitions, worries, racism, sexism, war, etc... nothing at all above us.

Like others are saying...the guys that wrote the bible never imigained such a thing existed.
I must say I love the way the churchies grasp at straws trying to reconcile the facts (dinosaurs) against the fiction (not in the bible)!! Look at some of those answers!
