KIEV, Ukraine -- A lion killed a man who climbed into its enclosure at the Kiev zoo, police said Monday.
The lion attacked the 45-year-old Ukrainian late Sunday after he used a rope to climb down into an enclosure with four lions, said police spokesman Volodymyr Polishchuk.

I think the man was kinda a wacko if he's crawling via a rope into a lions den in a zoo. Who does that? I think it might have been a suicide attempt... I guess it was a full blown suicide, the guy is dead after all.

you never know why people do the things they do...but it sounds like a torturous suicide! he couldn't have been working there, and no toy or anything is so valuable that I'd climb in with lions to get...maybe ask someone the lions are familiar with but goodness not get in there by myself! gracious!

I'm guessing there was much more to the article. Like what his motivation was for getting into the lion's den, his survivors, etc. I think IMHO, it was a stupid thing to do. I can imagine him saying to himself "What was I thinking!?" as the lions came toward him!
