Personality is a word from Etruscan origin that means "mask".

Our personality is the mask, the appearance through which we manifest ourselves.

Your personality is perfect, as it portrays your inner self.

Now, if there any aspects of your personality you would like to change, don't work on the surface. Don't do anything to the mask. Do it on yourself. Get to know you better, try to understand what drives you to behave the way you do, and think of different alternatives to this.

Once you start doing this, you will discover other ways of thinking and behaving. And your mask, your personality, will be automatically adjusted to this.

In order to be kinder to people, just bear in mind they might be as confused, and even frustrated, as you might be in other circumstances.

Good luck!

I don't think it is possible. I think that having a good nature which wants to respond in a positive and good manner to other persons is key to a base personality. As we are around others in different situations, we have to adapt and pull from inside us, what is needed in that given time. As long as we try our best to remain respectful and giving to each person of our acquaintance, not demeaning to anyone, that in itself is a perfect personality.

That is like chasing windmills. It cannot be achieved.
We can try to improve ourselves and the only way to do this is by living, learning and caring and forgiving.
Some will never learn that.

I think you can achieve contentment within yourself if you follow the golden rule.

I don't think its a matter of time, its experience that shapes us and our character. To build our character we have to have morals, Jesus is an excellent place to start.
