You may be allergic to a chemical that is used to make the purple color. As the ink sets into the skin and the healing process of the skin continues, antibodies from the immune system are going to try to fight the ink. Cortaid will help slow down the irritation, but not take it away completely. Benedryl will be a systemic way to slow down the allergic response. You may want to see your doctor or an allergist to find out if they can help you out with stronger precription meds.

You may be having an allergic reaction to the dye used in the purple ink. Get some hydrocortisone cream for the itch. It should heal up. If it becomes red and hot to the touch you may have an infection, get it treated. Our skin tries to reject the ink from a tattoo because it is fighting it off. If you are concerned call your doctor.

Go back to the tattoo place, tell them to look after it. After you get a tattoo they are suppose to monitor it for so long and watch for infection.
does sound like an allergic reaction.. but why only to one colour is the question. Best to deal with it through them.. find out whats different about the colours, and make them do something for you.

I will never understand why people get tattoos. They are going to look ever more horrible in the later years. You deserve everything that comes with getting a tattoo. Be it good or bad.

sounds likeyour allergic to the purple ink. I woud go see your doctor, and also call the artist and find out where that ink originates from and it's ingredients so you can tell you doctor exactly what has been put on your skin.

You could have an infection. See a Dr. Did you know that you can get hepatitis, HIV and even AIDs from tatoo needles and piercings? It's a stupid thing to do.
