just a stock 350 dropped into the two which would be faster

Tough one...the S10 is lighter...but also less weight on the rear tires, which would make it prone to spinning the tires...

I'd put my money on the Camaro.

Depends what you mean by faster. In a drag race, put the right tires on the S-10, and limit your first tip-in, and by rights it should be faster than the heavier Camaro. In a circle track, the S-10 isn't going to corner for anything, to much oversteer. Go with the camaro. Besides, swapping a 350 into a camaro should be easier, as it typically is mean to house the 305. Same block.

Camaro. The S10 doesn't have enough weight on the rear axles to make putting an engine that heavy (even if you could fit it in the engine compartment) practical.
